Insight Experience is pleased to announce that we have received three coveted 2022 awards that recognize our innovations and accomplishments in leadership development and business simulations. We are the proud recipients of:
-
The 2022 Brandon Hall Group Silver Award in Best Use of Games or Simulations for Learning in the category of Learning and Development.
-
The 2022 Training Magazine Network Choice Awards in the category of Leadership Development.
-
Selection as a Training Industry 2022 Experiential Learning Technologies Watch List Company.
The Brandon Hall Group, an independent research and analyst firm, operates the largest and longest running awards program in Human Capital Management. The 2022 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards are given for work in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Sales Performance, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Future of Work.
Our award-winning entry for the Brandon Hall Group in the category of the Best Use of Games or Simulations is called "Powering Up — Finning Financials and Profitability Simulation." It is centered on a customized business simulation experience for Finning, the world's largest Caterpillar dealership, that introduces participants to the drivers of profitability and company-specific financial terms and metrics. The target audience for Powering Up is Finning’s operational leaders, also referred to as Front Line Leaders (FLLs), who are located in Western Canada, South America, and the United Kingdom and Ireland. During the simulation experience, participants, working in teams, assume the role of a dealership branch manager. As branch manager, they apply and practice course concepts in a simulated, multifunctional business that is modeled after Finning’s core businesses.
The Finning program is consistently well-received by its target audience. It fills an important need by providing Finning’s Front Line leaders with introductory business acumen and financial literacy skills. It has also broadened the perpective of participants by helping them understand how other lines of business at Finning contribute to its financial performance.
Entries for the Brandon Hall Group awards were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts; Brandon Hall Group analysts; and executives. Entries were based upon these criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits. “Our award winners demonstrated the vision, agility and innovation needed to excel in the unchartered hybrid work environment,” said Brandon Hall Group Chief Executive Officer Mike Cooke. “We added and revised awards categories to ensure that we not only validate best HCM practices but also solicit and recognize next practices that set a high bar for everyone.”
Ned Wasniewski, a managing partner at Insight Experience, is the product and program manager of the Finning simulation. "Finning and Insight Experience have had a strong partnership over the past decade," he says. "We are delighted to be awarded the Brandon Hall Silver Award for Best Use of Games and Simulations. It’s reflective of Finning’s commitment to the development of its operational leaders and the creation of a bespoke simulation solution that supports its 'Powering Up' initiative."
We are also thrilled to have been named a winner in the 2022 Training Magazine Network Choice Awards in the category of Leadership Development. Training magazine is considered the industry standard for professional development and news for training, human resources, and business management professionals in all industries. The Training Magazine Network is a platform for networking, learning, and the exchange of ideas and resources among global learning professionals and thought leaders.
Their Choice Awards is a crowd-sourced vendor awards program that recognizes outstanding training products and solutions. Each year, Training magazine invites its 56,000-plus engaged member community to cast their votes in six categories, including Leadership Development, for the vendor partners they find to provide the most effective tools and solutions for their work.
We thank everyone who cast a vote for the work we do here and who made this award possible. Says Amanda Young Hickman, founding partner: "At Insight Experience, we believe in the impact that great leaders can have on organizations and employees. It is an honor to be recognized for our simulation-based learning experiences that help leaders learn and grow to be their best. The Training Magazine Network Choice Awards are particularly meaningful because they reflect the votes of our customers and peers. We’re proud to be an award winner in the field of Leadership Development."
“We thank all of the Training Magazine Network members who voted for sharing their valuable knowledge and experience,” adds Training magazine Editor and Publisher Lorri Freifeld. “The ability to tap into this collaborative community’s considerable expertise to identify effective vendor tools and solutions for training provides a significant advantage — especially during these continued challenging times. Congratulations to the 2022 Training Magazine Network winners! We are proud to recognize their best-in-class solutions, innovation, and dedication to helping the L&D industry deliver vital learning in a constantly changing world.”
