Meet Alex. Alex is a high-performing manager at a large corporation that is committed to developing its leaders. As part of Alex's continued development, she needs a deeper understanding of how her actions as a leader impact business outcomes and deliver on her organization's strategy. Insight Experience partners with Alex's company to create a business simulation-based leadership development program that addresses her company's business and leadership challenges.
Placed in a fictional company that reflects the dynamics of her own organization, Alex works as part of a team that takes on a leadership role in this fictional company with specific goals to accomplish. Collectively, Alex's team makes a series of operating and leadership decisions in successive rounds, each representing a fiscal quarter, and under a time constraint that forces participants to act as they would in the real world.
By focusing on balanced leadership, which develops both "hard" skills and the "soft" skills needed to be a successful leader, Insight Experience teaches Alex how her actions affect her team and the business results they generate.
Throughout the program, Alex is presented with customized issues and characters that mirror the business challenges, personalities, and relationships she faces every day. After each round, Insight Experience’s expert facilitators debrief each team's decisions, clarify the benefits and repercussions of various strategies and leadership decisions, and outline the best practices to guide decision-making back on the job.
